Scaling
An ultrasonic scaler remove, forming through the process of mineralization, left plaque and hard deposits above and below gums. It is a supragingival or subgingival procedure depending on the location of deposit.
Calculus is very dangerous for your gums. Not done a long time can cause damage gums and later even movement of your teeth or even their loss. The tendency to build up calculus is individual for each patient. According to recent reports, it is recommended to remove calculus once every six months, but sometimes patient needs cleaning even every 2-3 months.
